1. You are the one bringing donuts to the team after they have done an all night upgrade
  2. You go to more meetings than there are hours in a working day
  3. Your team is looking at you and wondering why you are still standing around when they clearly have the situation under control
  4. You get it and leave and then smile because you know you work with great people and it is ok to go home!

For the first time in my career, I was not the part of the technical team doing the long weekend upgrade.  I actually felt useless today after visiting my team who were completing an upgrade of our Oracle environment from 9i to 10g.  In the end,  I did smile and realized that I learned another lesson on the journey that I am on.

I am really looking forward to presenting via Skype to the CAUDIT EA Symposium 2007 tomorrow.
